Navratri
beginning from October 16, 2012 literally known as nine nights. These
nine days, also referred to as Navratras are considered the most
auspicious, by all Hindus. This period is the prelude to the festival
season and the air is rife with festivity. The tenth day of Navratri
is celebrated as Dussehra or Vijaya Dashami, on that day Shri ram had
killed Ravana.
Navratri
is celebrated across India and you can find lot of special food festivals in Delhi. In Gujarat and Maharashtra it is synonymous
with swirling chaniya cholis, pulsating beats and the click of
dandiyas and raas garba, in Bengal it is celebrated as Durga puja
with great fervor and reverence. A display of idols for nine days,
during Navratri, traditionally called 'kolu' marks the celebration
across South India. These are also days of fasting across North
India, perhaps to prepare the body for the days of feasting ahead!

The
special nine nights of Navratri bring with them a fervour and flavour
of their own. While celebrations differ all over the country, the
underlying theme remains the same. Yet, fasting and observing
Navratras no longer means missing eating out. The Radisson MBD, Noida
brings in a mouth-watering navratri special menu like fast food, Chinese food, South Indian food etc observing all
the norms of saatvik cuisine, so essential to this period. All served
in a manner befitting this special feast, with well laid out thalis,
and a service fit for a king. Also, in the menu are tempting snacks
and savories, all made with the 'vrat' in mind for a quick in between
moment.
